The Beaufort Pyrate Invasion in North Carolina is scheduled for August 8th and 9th. There will be sword fighting, cannon fire and much more. There will be demonstrations and reenactments as well as live entertainment. According to the official website:
The Fish Fry on Friday night, August 8, at the Beaufort Historic Site will be catered by Roland's and costs $15 per person. There will be a cash bar for beer, wine and water. It all starts at 6 PM. Connie Mason and Fish Town Chanters will be playing and singing!! Capt. Sinbad and his crew of wenches and the "Brethren of the Coast" will be there so be on your best behavior!!! AND…don't forget to wear your pyrate garb!! The Buccaneer's Ball on Saturday night, August 9, is a ticketed event. In costume...$25 per person. NOT in costume...$30 per person.(Don't even think about buying a $25 ticket before the event and then not wearing a costume...Capt. Sinbad will be making you walk the plank for sure!! )
The Ball starts at 7 PM and goes until 10 PM. TICKETS ARE LIMITED because space in the NC Maritime Museum building, 315 Front Street, is limited so don't wait 'til the last minute. Many restaurants have graciously donated great munchies and there also be a cash bar and music!
